Return policy
Last updated: September 19, 2025
This Refund Policy (hereinafter “Policy”) sets forth the procedure for refunding financial transactions (donations) made to Mashtots Publishing House (hereinafter “Publisher,” “we,” or “Mashtots”) through the website www.mashtots.am (hereinafter “Website”).
No Online Sales
The Website is not an online sales platform and does not sell books or any other products/services.
All matters related to book purchases, delivery, returns, or exchanges are governed exclusively by the policies of third-party platforms or bookstores (see also “Third-Party Links” section).
This Policy applies only to financial transactions (donations) made directly through the Website or through direct offline interaction with the Publisher, where Mashtots Publishing House is the recipient of the payment.
General Principles of Donation Refunds
Donations made through the Website (www.mashtots.am) are voluntary and non-refundable. In general, all payments made via the Website are considered final and cannot be returned.
However, in exceptional cases, the Publisher may issue a refund under the following circumstances:
- Technical error or duplicate charge (e.g., repeated transaction).
- Unauthorized transaction (e.g., payment made without cardholder’s consent).
- Clearly mistaken payment (e.g., incorrect amount transferred).
- Payment made to the wrong recipient (e.g., funds sent to Mashtots by mistake instead of another organization).
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 (fourteen) calendar days after the transaction and must include verifiable transaction details.
Each refund request is reviewed and decided by the Publisher on a case-by-case basis.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email us at mashtotsph@gmail.com with the following information:
- Full name, contact email, and phone number
- Date, approximate time, and amount of the transaction
- Payment method (card, bank transfer, etc.)
- Transaction ID or reference number (if available)
- Brief explanation of the refund request and supporting documentation (e.g., card statement, bank receipt, etc.)
The Publisher may request additional information or identification documents to process the request properly.
All personal data is processed in accordance with the Website’s Privacy Policy.
Refund Method, Timeframe, and Currency
Refunds are generally issued to the same payment method used for the original donation.
Refund processing may take up to 14 business days, though actual receipt of funds may take longer depending on banking or payment system conditions.
Refunds are made in the same currency as the original payment. If this is not technically possible, the refund will be issued in Armenian drams (AMD) at the exchange rate set by the Central Bank of Armenia on the refund date.
Currency conversion differences and intermediary fees are non-refundable.
Service Fees and Non-Refundable Costs
Third-party service or processing fees that are legally or technically non-refundable will not be reimbursed.
The Publisher does not charge any additional fees for processing refunds.
Denial of Requests and Fraud Prevention
A refund request may be denied if:
- It does not meet the conditions or deadlines set by this Policy.
- There is reasonable suspicion of fraud or misuse.
- The provided information is insufficient to verify or confirm the transaction.
Changes to the Policy
The Publisher reserves the right to unilaterally amend or supplement this Policy.
Updated versions will be published on the Website, indicating the “Last updated” date.
Changes become effective upon publication.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia.
Any disputes regarding refunds shall first be addressed through mutual communication within 14 calendar days from the date of the request.
If no agreement is reached, the dispute shall be resolved by the courts of general jurisdiction of the Republic of Armenia.
