Syuzan Torosyan

Syuzan Torosyan was born on July 15, 1989, in Yerevan.
From 1996 to 2006, she studied and graduated from Yerevan Secondary School No. 110.
In 2006–2010, she studied at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences named after V. Brusov (Brusov State University), earning a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy with specialization in French and English.
In 2010–2012, she completed her Master’s studies at the same university, majoring in Linguistics (Semiotics).
During 2010–2012, she was a member of both the Faculty and Academic Councils of the university.
From 2012 to 2024, she worked at the Department of French of Brusov State University as a laboratory assistant.
Between 2013 and 2015, she also served as Assistant to the Rector.
From 2014 to 2019, she was a PhD candidate at the Department of French.
In 2015–2017, she coordinated the Academic Achievements Center (CRU) of the Francophone University Agency (AUF) at Brusov State University.
From 2015 to 2024, she worked as a lecturer in French at the same department.
In 2018–2019, she conducted academic research at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
From 2020 to 2021, she taught French at the Department of Applied Linguistics of the European University of Armenia.
Since 2022, she has been working at Mashtots Publishing House as a French-language verifier/editor.
As of 2025, she teaches French at Gavar State University and also works at the Embassy of France in Armenia as the Coordinator of the “Promotion of French in Armenia” program.
Syuzan Torosyan has participated in numerous conferences and seminars both in Armenia and abroad, in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Poland.
She is a member of the National Network of French Language Teacher Trainers, established within the framework of a joint program between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia and the Embassy of France in Armenia.
She is fluent in Armenian (native), Russian, French, and English.
