As part of the professional development of the Translation School members, a special focus was placed on strengthening their command of the Armenian language. Alongside recruiting new translators, the publishing house initiated opportunities to reinforce both professional and linguistic skills. For this purpose, an intensive Armenian language course was organized, aimed at enhancing participants’ linguistic knowledge and equipping them with new skills.
The course was conducted in a hybrid format, combining online and in-person sessions, with all classes recorded and made available for later review. This flexible approach allowed over 30 translators from different towns and communities to participate, ensuring broad accessibility, especially for those unable to attend regularly.
Step by step, the course covered essential aspects of the Armenian language-grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and stylistic features-while emphasizing the importance of precision in translation.
As a result, participants not only deepened their understanding of various aspects of Armenian but also gained practical skills directly applicable to their translation work.
The Armenian language course became an important part of the translators’ professional training, combining academic knowledge with practical experience and ensuring the comprehensive development of their linguistic competencies.
